Banquet Hall
Location: Darbangha, Bihar
Project Area:
About the Project
The project involves the creation of a banquet and events venue located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Darbhanga, designed to harmonize with its sensitive ecological setting.
Site Features & Approach
The site is dotted with 150-year-old mango trees, which are to be preserved and integrated into the design.
Given the ecological sensitivity, the structure will be built using prefabricated systems, ensuring minimum disturbance to the site.
The landscape is the dominant design element, with built spaces carefully nestled within the natural setting.
Key Facilities
Two multipurpose halls designed for weddings, gatherings, and cultural events.
A lush open party lawn serving as the central gathering space, seamlessly connected with the halls.
A welcoming fountain at the entrance, from which a water channel flows through the corridor, guiding visitors towards the lawn, flanked by the multipurpose halls on either side.
Design Vision
The project aims to offer an immersive experience where nature leads the narrative. The architecture is deliberately restrained, allowing the landscape and heritage mango trees to dominate the spatial experience. Water features, greenery, and open views create a serene, celebratory environment that connects people with nature while offering modern functionality.
